Exploring My City

It is kind of sad that sometimes we live in a city and yet we are unaware of so many treasure within our own back yard. The other day I was on a quest to photograph something different and wound up in an area of the city that just five years ago was corn fields. This is what I found.
The University of Sioux Falls campus is only a few blocks from my home and I wasn't even aware they had built this large stadium on the outskirts of the city.

Although it is almost no longer the outskirts as the stadium is not the only new development in that area.

It looks like a nice addition at least!

Yes it is a very nice addition. I will have to find out when a game is on and go see it in use.

Um, Nita, they built this huge place two blocks from your home and YOU DIDN'T NOTICE??? Surely you are going to explain what you were doing?

lol, luckily I am not quite that clueless Jack. The College's campus is a few blocks from my home in the center of the city. They built this stadium on the edge of the city around six or so miles from their main campus and my home.

I think it's amazing what you can find in your own area if you look around. :)
